To my chosen family,

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I miss all of you. Traveling with Kieran has been going about as well as can be expected. He’s lightened up quite a bit now that we’re on the surface, so it hasn’t been entirely unpleasant.

We traveled by private jet from L.S.T.O., which was certainly something. The flight didn’t exactly go according to plan, but Kieran and I are safe, and that’s all that matters.

We even ran into someone you all know! Any guesses who? You’ll have to tell me if anyone guessed right. We’re traveling with him to Kirkjufell. It’s actually made the absolutely exhausting journey rather entertaining. I think even Kieran is enjoying himself, but he’d never admit it. You know how he is.

We also ran into my roommate and her now-fiancé! I couldn’t believe it. The world is so vast and I have barely begun to explore it, yet we’ve already run into three familiar faces.

I’ll be dropping off this letter tomorrow when we arrive in Iceland, and I’m not sure when I’ll get another chance to write to you. Just know that we’re all doing just fine and we’ll hopefully be back home within the next few months.

Did anyone come by with Willy and Shade? They’re with a nice man at L.S.T.O., and should be brought home at some point if we’re gone too long. I’m sure you probably knew that, though.

I’m sorry I’m rambling so much. I just really miss each and every one of you. I hope when I return that I’ll have some fascinating stories to share before we can find some semblance of normal.

I asked Kieran if he wanted me to add a message to this letter, but of course he said no. I know he misses you all as much as I do, but he’s also Kieran.

Connor says hi though. (Yes, that Connor!) Did anyone guess right?! There was actually more he wanted me to say… To Lu, specifically. I won’t be repeating it, however. This is my letter, not his. I wouldn’t be surprised if he sends one of his own. If he does… Lu, I’m sorry. I’m outnumbered by boys and until I’ve got you as backup, I’m going to have a difficult time controlling them.

I’m not sure when you’ll get this letter, but I hope that we’ll be seeing each other soon.
